I am honoured to address you with great enthusiasm and pride as the vice president of Gudalur Mar Thoma Educational society and correspondent of St. Thomas group of schools. An educational institution is made of not just with bricks, mortar and concrete but of hopes, aspirations, dreams and success which is to be strived for.

For us, Education does not mean providing answers. It means equipping the pupil with the means to find the answers for himself and within himself. Education empowers students to discover themselves – who they are as people. Within each student is a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, a social activist, a sports person, an environmentalist, a poet, an author or an economist. The teachers support them in channelizing resources vis-à-vis their dreams thus, sustainably generating civilized and productive human capital for serving our motherland.
At St. Thomas we believe that education should empower learners to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers and problem solvers. To achieve this goal, we embrace new-age teaching methods with 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy into our teaching methods that shift the focus from rote learning and memorisation to learning through reflection on doing. It gives me great pleasure to invite you to take an initial peek into the heart that beats behind the appealing façade of St Thomas English High School. I thank you for your interest in this exceptional institution which has recorded 47 years of constant development, in the course of which it has accomplished much, making it one of the school recognized for its excellence and therefore, much sought after by the fresh applicants. Our mission is to inculcate the love of knowledge in our students and, for this; we aim to develop the skills and demeanor of lifelong ‘learning,’ essential for making responsible global citizens. On the deeper level, we try to instill the values of respect and trust in relationships that are the foundation of real success. We believe that true wisdom is the ability to listen to your heart and that each child's self-esteem, dignity, physical and emotional well-being must be cultivated with the same importance as that given to academic and material success. They can do it easily if we can make the surrounding stimulating and purposeful. I take this opportunity to thank all the parents who have reposed their faith in our school.
